What grit should I start with?

Start with 16 or 30 grit for aggressive grinding, coating removal, and heavy stock removal. Move to 60 grit for surface preparation and scratch refinement. Use 120 grit for fine grinding before polishing. For best results, always progress from coarse to finer grits.

What is the difference between magnetic and Redi Lock grinding shoes?

Magnetic grinding shoes use a magnetic quick-change plate system that allows tooling to be installed and removed without bolts or tools. Redi Lock grinding shoes use Husqvarna's proprietary quick-change locking system. Because the two systems use different mounting designs, they are not directly interchangeable without a compatible adaptor plate.
