Diamond Tooling
Are your Redi Lock segments compatible with my grinder?
Our Redi Lock tooling is designed to suit grinders that use the Redi Lock adapter system. If you are unsure whether your machine is compatible, please provide your grinder model and we will confirm the correct fitment.
What grit should I start with for concrete grinding?
The correct starting grit depends on the condition of the floor and your goal (coating removal, flattening, or scratch refinement). Coarser grits are typically used for aggressive removal, while finer grits are used for smoothing and preparation. Contact us with your floor type and we’ll recommend the right starting point.
What is the difference between soft, medium and hard bond?
Bond refers to how quickly the metal matrix wears to expose fresh diamonds. Hard concrete generally requires a softer bond to maintain cutting performance, while softer concrete requires a harder bond to reduce excessive wear. If you’re unsure, we’re happy to help you select the correct bond.
Why are my diamond segments glazing or not cutting?
Glazing usually occurs when the bond is too hard for the concrete, preventing fresh diamonds from being exposed. Changing bond type, dressing the segment, or adjusting grinder pressure and speed can resolve the issue. Contact us with your setup details and we’ll assist with troubleshooting.
Tool Parts & Accessories
Do you stock replacement parts and accessories?
Yes — we stock a wide range of replacement parts and accessories for concrete grinding equipment and industrial vacuums. If you cannot find a specific part on our website, please contact us with your machine details and we will assist.
Do you stock S13 and S26 industrial vacuum parts?
Yes — we stock most common parts for S13 and S26 industrial vacuum systems, including filters, bags, hoses and electrical components. If you are unsure which part you need, please provide your model details and we will confirm compatibility.
How do I know which part is compatible with my machine?
The easiest way is to send us your machine model along with a photo of the existing part (including any labels or measurements). Our team will confirm the correct replacement before you order.
Do you offer bulk pricing on parts and accessories?
Yes — bulk pricing is available for approved trade customers and regular buyers. Please contact us with the product and quantity required and we will provide a tailored quote.
Technical Support & Troubleshooting
My grinder is vibrating — what could be the cause?
Grinder vibration can be caused by uneven segment wear, incorrect tooling fitment, damaged plates, or worn bearings. Check that all tooling is seated correctly and evenly tightened. If the issue continues, contact us with your grinder model and setup details for assistance.
Why is my vacuum losing suction?
Loss of suction is commonly caused by blocked hoses, clogged filters, full dust bags, or air leaks. Inspect hoses and seals, check filters, and ensure the dust collection system is not full. If the problem persists, contact us with your vacuum model for support.
Why are my diamond segments wearing too fast?
Excessive wear can occur when the bond is too soft for the concrete, when excessive pressure is applied, or when the floor is highly abrasive. Adjusting bond type or grinding technique may resolve the issue. We can help you select the correct bond for your floor conditions.
My machine is tripping the breaker — what should I check?
Electrical tripping may be caused by overload, incorrect voltage supply, damaged extension leads, or internal component faults. Ensure you are using the correct power supply and heavy-duty leads. If the issue continues, stop using the machine and contact us for guidance.
Concrete Grinding Process
What is the correct grinding sequence?
A standard grinding sequence starts with a coarse metal bond for removal or flattening, followed by progressively finer grits to refine the scratch pattern. The exact sequence depends on the floor condition and final finish required.
When should I transition from metal bond to resin?
Transition to resin polishing pads once the floor is flat and the metal bond scratch pattern is consistent. Skipping grits or transitioning too early may result in visible scratches in the final finish.
Should I grind concrete wet or dry?
Dry grinding is commonly used with proper dust extraction systems, while wet grinding may reduce airborne dust and help extend tooling life. The best method depends on site conditions and equipment setup.
How do I remove coatings or glue effectively?
Heavy coatings and adhesives typically require aggressive tooling such as PCD segments or coarse metal bonds. Selecting the correct tooling will improve efficiency and reduce unnecessary wear.
