Faqs

What is the difference between a Techtop TAI 63A and 63B motor?

Both 63A and 63B belong to the Techtop TAI series. According to Techtop, the difference relates to the motor's internal design and performance requirements rather than its external mounting dimensions. Techtop advises that the same TAI 63 dimensional drawings can be used for the corresponding 63A and 63B motor variants. The 63B designation should not be confused with the separate Techtop TAIB brake motor series.

Is this Techtop 0.12kW motor single phase or three phase?

This is a three phase electric motor designed for 230/415V, 50Hz operation.

What speed does this 0.12kW motor run at?

This is a 4 pole motor with a full-load speed of approximately 1300 RPM, making it suitable for applications requiring around 1400 RPM motor operation.

What frame size is this motor?

This motor uses a 63A frame. Always compare the dimensional information and mounting arrangement with your existing motor when selecting a replacement.

What is the shaft diameter?

This motor has an 11mm shaft diameter. Shaft diameter should always be checked when selecting a replacement motor.

What is the full-load current?

The motor has a full-load current of approximately 0.51A at 400V.

What mounting options are available?

Techtop TAI motors are available in multiple mounting configurations depending on the required installation. Common configurations include B3 Foot Mount, B5 Flange Mount, B14 Face Mount, B34 Foot & Face Mount and B35 Foot & Flange Mount.

Can this motor replace another brand?

Potentially, yes. When selecting a replacement motor, compare the rated output, voltage, poles, RPM, frame size, shaft dimensions, mounting arrangement and physical dimensions of the existing motor.

How can I confirm which replacement motor I need?

Send Paddle Wholesale Australia a clear photo of your existing motor's nameplate, shaft and mounting arrangement. We can help identify the specifications required for a suitable replacement.

The Techtop TAI 0.12kW Three Phase Electric Motor is a compact aluminium-frame industrial motor designed for reliable continuous operation across a wide range of machinery and equipment applications. Featuring a 0.12kW rated output, 4 pole configuration and 1300 RPM full-load speed, this motor is well suited to applications requiring a compact three phase motor operating at approximately 1400 RPM. The motor uses a 63A frame and forms part of Techtop's TAI aluminium three phase motor range. Designed for 230/415V, 50Hz operation, the motor has a full-load current of 0.51A at 400V and is rated for S1 continuous duty. The TAI series uses aluminium construction with TEFC (Totally Enclosed Fan Cooled) design, IP55 protection and Class F insulation with Class B temperature rise. At full load, this 0.12kW motor produces 0.88Nm of torque, with 54.6% full-load efficiency and a 0.62 full-load power factor. Techtop specifies a noise level of 55 dB(A) at one metre. The motor is fitted with NSK ball bearings, using 6202ZZ / 6202ZZ C3 bearings at the drive and non-drive ends. The standard motor mass is approximately 3.7kg. With its 4 pole, 1300 RPM configuration, this motor is suitable for small pumps, fans and blowers, conveyors, ventilation equipment, OEM machinery and other industrial applications requiring approximately 1400 RPM motor operation. Multiple mounting configurations are available across the Techtop TAI range, including B3 Foot Mount, B5 Flange Mount, B14 Face Mount, B34 Foot & Face Mount and B35 Foot & Flange Mount, depending on the required installation. Within the Techtop TAI series, frame designations such as 63A and 63B relate to different internal motor configurations rather than different external mounting dimensions. According to Techtop, corresponding A and B frame variants can use the same dimensional drawings. When replacing an existing three phase electric motor, always compare the rated output, voltage, number of poles, RPM, frame size, shaft diameter, mounting configuration and physical dimensions rather than selecting a replacement based only on its kW rating. If you're unsure whether this motor is suitable for your equipment, contact Paddle Wholesale Australia with a clear photo of the existing motor nameplate, shaft and mounting arrangement. We can help identify the specifications required for a suitable replacement.
