The Techtop TAI 0.18kW Three Phase Electric Motor is an aluminium-frame industrial motor designed for reliable continuous operation across a wide range of machinery and equipment applications.
Featuring a 0.18kW rated output, 8 pole configuration and 690 RPM full-load speed, this motor is well suited to low-speed industrial applications. The motor uses a 80A frame and forms part of Techtop's TAI aluminium three phase motor range.
Designed for 230/415V, 50Hz operation, the motor has a full-load current of 0.82A at 400V and is rated for S1 continuous duty. It features aluminium construction, TEFC (Totally Enclosed Fan Cooled) design, IP55 protection and Class F insulation with Class B temperature rise.
At full load, this 0.18kW motor produces 2.48Nm of torque, with 55.0% full-load efficiency and a 0.58 full-load power factor. Techtop specifies a noise level of 53 dB(A) at one metre.
The motor is fitted with NSK ball bearings using 6204ZZ / 6204ZZ C3 bearings at the drive and non-drive ends. The standard motor mass is approximately 8.3kg.
With its 8 pole, 690 RPM configuration, this motor is suitable for industrial equipment where the required speed, torque, frame and mounting arrangement match the application.
Common mounting configurations available across the TAI range include B3 Foot Mount, B5 Flange Mount, B14 Face Mount, B34 Foot & Face Mount and B35 Foot & Flange Mount.
Within the Techtop TAI series, 80A and 80B are frame variants rather than separate motor series. According to Techtop, the A/B difference relates to internal motor design and performance rather than external mounting dimensions, so the same TAI 80 dimensional drawings can be used for corresponding A and B variants. The B frame designation should not be confused with the separate TAIB brake motor series.
When replacing an existing three phase electric motor, always compare the rated output, voltage, number of poles, RPM, frame size, shaft diameter, mounting configuration and physical dimensions rather than selecting a replacement based only on the kW rating.
