The Techtop TAI 0.09kW Three Phase Electric Motor is an aluminium-frame industrial motor designed for reliable continuous operation in applications requiring low operating speeds.
Featuring a 0.09kW rated output, 8 pole configuration and 665 RPM full-load speed, this motor provides a practical solution for machinery requiring substantially lower motor speed than conventional 2 pole or 4 pole motors. The motor uses a 71A frame and is part of Techtop's TAI aluminium three phase motor range.
Designed for 230/415V, 50Hz operation, the motor has a full-load current of 0.53A at 400V and is rated for S1 continuous duty.
The Techtop TAI series features aluminium construction and TEFC (Totally Enclosed Fan Cooled) design. This model has IP55 protection and Class F insulation with Class B temperature rise, providing dependable protection and thermal performance for general industrial applications.
At full load, this 0.09kW motor produces 1.29Nm of torque. Techtop specifies a full-load efficiency of 43.1%, a full-load power factor of 0.57, and a noise level of 52 dB(A) at one metre.
The motor is fitted with NSK ball bearings, with 6202ZZ / 6202ZZ C3 bearings at the drive and non-drive ends. The standard motor mass is approximately 5.6kg.
With its 8 pole, 665 RPM configuration, this motor is suited to applications such as low-speed fans and ventilation equipment, conveyors, OEM machinery and other industrial equipment requiring relatively low motor speed.
Multiple mounting configurations are available across the Techtop TAI range, including B3 Foot Mount, B5 Flange Mount, B14 Face Mount, B34 Foot & Face Mount and B35 Foot & Flange Mount, depending on the required installation.
Within the Techtop TAI series, frame designations such as 71A and 71B relate to different internal motor configurations rather than different external mounting dimensions. According to Techtop, corresponding A and B frame variants can use the same dimensional drawings.
When replacing an existing three phase electric motor, always compare the rated output, voltage, number of poles, RPM, frame size, shaft diameter, mounting configuration and physical dimensions rather than selecting a replacement based only on the kW rating.
