What is this 250mm diamond grinding disc used for?
It is used for concrete grinding and surface preparation with compatible floor grinders. It can prepare slabs for further grinding, polishing or coating stages.
Should I choose 16 grit or 30 grit?
16 grit is the coarser option for initial grinding. 30 grit is finer and can be used for general concrete grinding or as a subsequent stage after 16 grit. Choose according to the concrete and the preparation required.
Are both grit options soft bond?
Yes. Both the 16-grit and 30-grit options have a soft-bond specification.
What is the benefit of the open plate design?
The open plate design provides increased airflow around the grinding area and helps dust move towards the extraction system. Overall dust collection also depends on the grinder shroud, vacuum, hose and filter condition.
How many diamond segments does the plate have?
The plate has 10 rectangular diamond segments, each measuring 40mm long × 12mm wide × 13mm high.
Will it fit every 250mm floor grinder?
No. The grinder must have a compatible bolt-on mounting arrangement. Check mounting-hole spacing, bolt requirements, clearance and operating speed. Diameter alone does not establish fitment.
Can it remove coatings and adhesive residues?
Suitability depends on the material, its thickness and condition, and the concrete beneath it. Some coatings and adhesives require dedicated removal tooling. Contact us with details of your surface if you are unsure.
Will this disc produce a polished concrete finish?
No. These are coarse grinding options. A polished finish requires further preparation and progressively finer tooling.
