The 16 Grit Double Zig Zag Redi Lock Grinding Shoe is designed for aggressive concrete grinding, surface preparation and initial floor profiling where fast material removal is required.
Featuring two 12mm high Zig Zag diamond segments, the double-segment design provides increased contact with the concrete surface for stable grinding performance and excellent durability. Double-segment tooling generally distributes the grinding load across a greater contact area, helping provide controlled, consistent grinding and longer service life compared with more aggressive single-segment configurations.
The coarse 16 Grit diamond specification is ideal for the initial stages of concrete preparation, including removing surface imperfections, exposing fresh concrete, levelling high spots and preparing floors for subsequent grinding, coating or polishing stages. 16 grit is considered a very aggressive metal-bond grit and will leave a pronounced scratch profile that normally requires refinement with finer grits where a smoother finish is required.
Double Zig Zag Segment Design
The Zig Zag profile provides multiple cutting edges across the segment, while the double-segment configuration offers a balance between aggressive cutting performance, stability and tool life.
Each segment has a 12mm diamond height, providing substantial usable segment depth for demanding professional concrete grinding applications.
Four Bond Options
Selecting the correct bond is critical for maintaining cutting performance and maximising diamond life. The general rule is to use a softer bond on harder concrete and a harder bond on softer or more abrasive concrete.
Super Soft Bond – Very Hard Concrete
Designed for dense, high-MPa, power-trowelled or very hard concrete where a softer matrix is required to continually expose fresh diamond.
Soft Bond – Hard Concrete
Suitable for hard concrete where standard or medium bonds may glaze and stop cutting effectively.
Medium Bond – Medium / General Concrete
A versatile general-purpose option for normal concrete hardness and a wide range of everyday floor preparation work.
Hard Bond – Soft or Abrasive Concrete
Designed for soft, porous, rain-damaged or abrasive concrete where a harder matrix helps prevent excessive segment wear.
Using a bond that is too hard for the concrete can result in glazing and reduced cutting performance, while using a bond that is too soft on abrasive concrete can cause premature segment wear.
Redi Lock Compatibility
The Redi Lock mounting system allows fast installation and removal without conventional bolts or screws.
Designed for use with compatible Husqvarna Redi Lock floor grinders and suitable for other floor grinding machines fitted with a compatible Redi Lock adapter or conversion plate. Your existing Paddle Redi Lock range also supports use across other machine platforms when the appropriate adaptor is fitted.
